.Periods of very heavy rainfall will be possible through the 
remainder of the afternoon. Rainfall rates of one to three inches 
per hour will make driving conditions dangerous. Ponding of water 
will be likely in poor drainage areas.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive 
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of central Alabama, including the following 
  counties, Calhoun, Cherokee, Cleburne, Etowah, St. Clair and 
  Talladega.

* WHEN...Until 530 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
  Overflowing poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or 
  other areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 217 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. This will
    cause urban and small stream flooding.
  - Rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected over the area.
    This additional rain will result in minor flooding.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
