...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 AM CDT THIS MORNING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following
counties, Concho, Kimble, Mason, McCulloch and Menard.
* WHEN...Until 930 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 726 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain
has fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches are
expected over the area. This additional rain will result in
minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Brady, Junction, Menard, Melvin, Hext, Saline, Long Mountain,
London, Calf Creek, Streeter, Yates Crossing, Brady Lake,
Us-377 Near The Kimble-Menard County Line, Erna, Us-190 Near
The Menard-Mcculloch County Line, The Intersection Of Us-83
And Highway 29, The Intersection Of Highway 29 And Ranch Road
1222, The Intersection Of Us-83 And Ranch Road 1773, Us-83
Near The Kimble-Menard County Line and The Intersection Of
Us-190 And Ranch Road 1311.
- This includes Interstate 10 between Mile Markers 446 and 456.
This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
White Street at Live Oak Creek, South Blackburn between
Adkins and 13th, RM 2291 crossings along Bear Creek, South
High between 14th and 15th Streets, crossings along FM 1221,
17th Street between Pine and College, Decker St. crossing San
Saba River, County Road 120 crossing East Cow Creek, Hallum
Draw and Chimney Hollow crossing Big Bluff Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
