...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 545 AM CDT EARLY THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following 
  counties, Mason and McCulloch.

* WHEN...Until 545 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
  Dangerous flows over low-water crossings.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 243 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2.5 inches of rain have
    fallen in southern McCulloch County, and this heavy rain will
    continue to move south through Mason County over the next
    hour or so.
  - This heavy rainfall will result in minor flooding in southern
    McCulloch and Mason Counties.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Brady, Mason, Grit, Katemcy, Camp Air, Art, Streeter, Hedwigs
    Hill, Fredonia, Camp San Saba, Voca, Long Mountain, Hilda,
    Pontotoc, Calf Creek, Loyal Valley, and Koockville.
  - This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
    FM 1851 crossing Tiger Creek, Spy Rock crossing, Vater
    crossing Hasse Creek, Old Union crossing San Fernando Creek,
    Behrens School crossing Comanche Creek, Old Katemcy Mason
    crossing Comanche Creek, Oak Grove crossing, Old Pontotoc
    crossing Little Willow Creek, Old Union crossing and Katemcy
    crossing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.
