...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 315 PM MST THIS AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Maricopa County in south central Arizona...
* WHEN...Until 315 PM MST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1212 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated areas of moderate
rainfall still occurring. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of
rain has fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Bender Wash, Sauceda Wash, Gila River, Quilotosa Wash, Sand Tank
Wash and Enterprise Canal. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.25
inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will
result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Gila Bend and Gila Bend Auxiliary Field.

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Flood waters have receded. The heavy rain has ended. Flooding is no
longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to heed remaining
