...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1245 AM CDT MONDAY...
* WHAT...Storms with heavy rainfall continue to move across the
area. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following
counties, Callahan and Taylor.
* WHEN...Until 1245 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1036 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Abilene, Clyde, Baird, Cross Plains, Buffalo Gap, Putnam,
Eula, Dudley, Potosi, Atwell, Admiral, Kirby Lake and I-20
Near The Callahan-Eastland County Line.
- This includes Interstate 20 between Mile Markers 279 and 323.
This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
Intersections along Sammons Street, I-20 Frontage Roads near
Putnam, Butternut Underpass, Curry Lane from Clack Street to
Catclaw Drive, Texas Avenue at Arnold Boulevard,
Intersections along Buttonwillow Parkway, I-20 Frontage Roads
near Baird, I-20 Frontage Roads west of Clyde, FM 3308
crossing Draw and North 6th Street and Willis.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
