* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of north central and northwest North Carolina,
including the following counties, in north central North Carolina,
Surry. In northwest North Carolina, Yadkin.
* WHEN...Until 245 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1133 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Little Creek, Davenport Creek, Mitchell River, Camp Creek,
Fisher River and Cody Creek.

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

including mudslides or flooded roads, to the National Weather
