* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Northeastern Cook County in northeastern Illinois...

* WHEN...Until 430 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding
may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Underpasses may be
flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 126 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Radar and observations indicate these storms are
producing a quick 1 to 2 inches of rain in less than 45 minutes.
This will likely result in minor flooding shortly after
thunderstorms arrive.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Chicago, Cicero, Evanston, Skokie, Berwyn, Wheaton, Oak Park,
Downers Grove, Elmhurst, Lombard, Ohare Airport, Carol Stream,
Park Ridge, Addison, Glendale Heights and Niles.

thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have

heavy rain in the advisory area due to thunderstorms. Local law
enforcement recently reported flooded roadways and cars stranded
in floodwater in the Addison area. Across the advisory area,
minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Between 1
and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional heavy rainfall
is expected.
