...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1015 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...East Central Columbia County in east central Georgia...
  Northeastern Richmond County in east central Georgia...
  West Central Aiken County in central South Carolina...

* WHEN...Until 1015 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 720 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This  will cause urban and small stream flooding.
    Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the
    area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    North Augusta, Grovetown, Evans, Martinez, Augusta, Belvedere,
    Clearwater, Village Plaza Shopping Center, Daniel Field, Augusta
    National Golf Club, Augusta Mall, Summerville, Midtown, Glendale,
    Burnettown, Waverly, Westwick, Forest Hills, Westover Memorial
    Park and Village at Riverwatch Shopping Center.
  - This includes the following highways...
    Interstate 520 in South Carolina between mile markers 16 and 22.
    Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 0 and 3.
    Interstate 20 in Georgia between mile markers 190 and 201.
    Interstate 520 in Georgia between mile markers 1 and 7...and
    between mile markers 12 and 15.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Most flooding deaths occur in vehicles. Never drive through a flooded
roadway or around barricades. Turn around, dont drown.

The Flood Advisory is cancelled for portions of east central Georgia,
including the following areas, Columbia and Richmond and central
South Carolina, including the following area, Aiken.

The heavy rain has ended. Urban area and small stream flooding is no
longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to heed remaining
road closures.
