...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Central Columbia County in east central Georgia...
* WHEN...Until 400 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is
occurring or is imminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 203 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small
stream flooding. Up to 2.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Grovetown, Evans, Harlem, Riverwood, Patriots Park, Columbia
County Exhibition Center, Liberty Park Community Center,
Blanchard Park, Blanchard Woods Park, Woodbridge, Evans Towne
Center Park, Riverside Park and German Island.
- This includes Interstate 20 in Georgia between mile markers 185
and 192.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Most flooding deaths occur in vehicles. Never drive through a flooded
roadway or around barricades. Turn around, dont drown.
Report any flooding directly to the Columbia National Weather Service

the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
