...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Northwestern Manatee County in west central Florida...
Sarasota County in west central Florida...
* WHEN...Until 800 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 605 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding.
Up to 3 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Sarasota, Bradenton, Palmetto, Ellenton, West Samoset, Parrish,
Lakewood Ranch, Memphis, South Bradenton, The Meadows, Sarasota
Bradenton Airport, North Sarasota, Kensington Park, West
Bradenton, Samoset, Oneco, Lake Manatee State Park, Desoto Lakes,
Bayshore Gardens and Cortez.
