...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Northern Broward County in southeastern Florida...
Southeastern Palm Beach County in southeastern Florida...
* WHEN...Until 400 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Overflowing poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 155 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and
2.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Coral Springs, Boca Raton, Deerfield Beach, Lighthouse Point,
Coconut Creek, Parkland, Boca Pointe, Boca Del Mar, Hamptons At
Boca Raton, Mission Bay, Whisper Walk, Godfrey Road, Sandalfoot
Cove, Hillsboro Ranches, Boca West, Hillsboro Pines, Fau South
Campus and South County Regional Park.

The Flood Advisory will expire at 4 PM EDT this afternoon for a
portion of southeast Florida, including the following areas, Broward
and Palm Beach.
The heavy rain has ended, but light rain will continue for the next
hour. Flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please
