...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 245 AM MDT THURSDAY...
* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...West Central Quay County in east central New Mexico...
East Central San Miguel County in northeastern New Mexico...
* WHEN...Until 245 AM MDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Some low-water
crossings may become impassable. River or stream flows are likely
to be elevated.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1149 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding.
Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the
area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Mainly rural areas of West Central Quay and East Central San
Miguel Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

The Flood Advisory is replaced by a Flash Flood Warning for portions
of east central and northeast New Mexico, including the following
areas, in east central New Mexico, Quay County. In northeast New
Mexico, San Miguel County.
The threat of flooding continues and a Flash Flood Warning is now in
effect. Please refer to that bulletin for more information.
