* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

imminent.

- At 727 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Durham, Chapel Hill, Roxboro, Hillsborough, Carrboro, Butner,
Rougemont, Bahama, Lake Michie, Moriah, Surl, Lake Butner, Eno
River State Park, Schley, Gorman, Bethesda, Falls Lake, Parkwood,
Bethel Hill and Mayo Reservoir.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
There may still be ponding of water in urban or other areas due to
earlier heavy rainfall.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 853 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated that the heavy rain due to
thunderstorms has decreased in intensity. Between 1 and 3 inches
of rain have fallen, with continued light to moderate rain
occurring.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Durham, Chapel Hill, Roxboro, Hillsborough, Carrboro, Butner,
