...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 630 PM MDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive 
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of south central New Mexico, including the 
  following counties, Otero and Sierra.

* WHEN...Until 630 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 316 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream
    flooding. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen.
  - Some locations that may experience flooding include...
    Three Rivers, San Patricio and Salinas Peak.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

The Flood Advisory will expire at 630 PM MDT this evening for a 
portion of south central New Mexico, including the following areas, 
Otero and Sierra.

The heavy rain has ended. Arroyo and small stream flooding is no 
longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to heed remaining 
road closures.
