...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 245 PM MDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive 
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central and west central New Mexico, including 
  the following counties, in central New Mexico, northwestern 
  Socorro and northwestern Valencia. In west central New Mexico, 
  northeastern Catron and southeastern Cibola.

* WHEN...Until 245 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1240 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream
    flooding. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.5 inches are
    expected over the area. This additional rain will result in
    minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Laguna Pueblo, Mesita and Alamo.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
