...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1045 PM EST THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive 
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Kentucky, including 
  the following counties, in east central Kentucky, Estill, Menifee 
  and Powell. In southeast Kentucky, Morgan and Wolfe.

* WHEN...Until 1045 PM EST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 746 PM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
    flooding, especially in low lying areas. Between 1 and 1.5
    inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    West Liberty, Irvine, Henry, Valeria, Calaboose, Red River
    Gorge, Pomeroyton, Stoll, Gosneyville, Pine Ridge, Koomer
    Ridge Campground, Jenson, Maytown, Toliver, Haystack,
    Glencairn, Ezel, Natural Bridge S.P., Murphyfork and Hazel
    Green.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

  and Powell. In southeast Kentucky, Morgan and Wolfe.

* WHEN...Until 1045 PM EST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 842 PM EST, Doppler radar indicated that the heaviest
    rainfall had exited the area; however, excessive runoff from
    the 1 to 2 inches of rainfall that fell earlier will continue
    to cause minor flooding in low lying areas.
  - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
    expected.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    West Liberty, Irvine, Henry, Valeria, Calaboose, Red River
    Gorge, Pomeroyton, Stoll, Gosneyville, Pine Ridge, Koomer
    Ridge Campground, Jenson, Maytown, Toliver, Haystack,
    Glencairn, Ezel, Natural Bridge S.P., Murphyfork and Hazel
    Green.
