...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1045 PM EST THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of south central and southeast Kentucky, 
  including the following counties, in south central Kentucky, 
  Laurel and Pulaski. In southeast Kentucky, Clay and Knox.

* WHEN...Until 1045 PM EST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 851 PM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of
    rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    London, Manchester, Lesbas, Lida, Cane Creek, Tuttle, Levi
    Jackson S.P., Marydell, Blackwater, Sasser, McHargue, Deer
    Lick, Fariston, Lynn Camp, Lake, Gibbs, Knoxfork,
    Maplesville, Bush and Tedders.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.
