...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 115 AM EDT TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Southwestern Laurel County in south central Kentucky...
  Northeastern McCreary County in south central Kentucky...
  Northwestern Whitley County in south central Kentucky...

* WHEN...Until 115 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1016 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Bark Camp, Youngs Creek, Grove, Deering, Rye, Walden, Huxley,
    Cumberland Falls S.P., Faber, Barton, Woodbine, North Corbin and
    Corbin.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.

The Flood Advisory will expire at 115 AM EDT early this morning for a
portion of south central Kentucky, including the following areas,
Laurel, McCreary and Whitley.

Flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to
heed remaining road closures.
