* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southwest New Mexico, including the following
county, Luna.
* WHEN...Until midnight MDT tonight.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 956 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1.25 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Additional rainfall of up to 0.5 inches is expected over the
area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Deming and Sunshine.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.

* WHAT...An additional round of thunderstorms could exacerbate minor
flooding in the Deming area through 1:30 AM.
* WHERE...Portions of Luna County in southern New Mexico.
* WHEN...Until 130 AM MDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is
occurring or is imminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1154 PM MDT, Another round of thunderstorms is approaching
Deming from the west, where up to an inch of rain has fallen
earlier this evening. This is expected to enhance runoff and
the risk for minor flooding, especially in poor drainage
areas.
- Additional rainfall of up to 0.5 inches is expected over the
area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
