...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 615 AM MDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive 
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southwestern Sierra County in southern New 
  Mexico.

* WHEN...Until 615 AM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. 
  Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 421 AM MDT, Showers and thunderstorms with brief heavy
    rainfall are moving back into the Lake Valley area, which has
    already received over an inch of rain since yesterday. Storms
    are lined up to the southwest, and look to train over the
    same area in the next 1 to 2 hours. This will likely lead to
    inundation of low water crossings along Highway 27.
  - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
    expected.
  - Some locations that may experience flooding include...
    Lake Valley.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.
