The National Weather Service in Dodge City has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northwestern Stanton County in southwestern Kansas...

* Until 830 PM CDT.

* At 425 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of 
  rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1.5 to 2.5 inches 
  are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or 
  expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Johnson City and Manter.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 830 PM CDT THIS 
EVENING FOR NORTHWESTERN STANTON COUNTY...

At 515 PM CDT, The Emergency Manager reported water covering 
multiple roads between Manter and Johnson City. Radar has already 
estimated between 2 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional 
rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. 
Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Emergency management reported.
