  Eastern Dundy County in southwestern Nebraska...
  Hitchcock County in southwestern Nebraska...

* Until 915 AM MDT /1015 AM CDT/.

* At 512 AM MDT /612 AM CDT/, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms 
  producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 
  inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 
  inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing 
  or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Trenton, Stratton and Max.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are

  inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 
  inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing 
  or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

  inches in 1 hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin 
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

CDT/ THIS AFTERNOON FOR EASTERN DUNDY AND HITCHCOCK COUNTIES...

At 1233 PM MDT /133 PM CDT/, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms 
producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3.5 
inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1.5 to 3 
inches in 1 hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin 
shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...A trained spotter located 6 mile north northwest of
         Stratton reported water over roadways. Over 3 inches of
         rainfall has fallen since midnight at the same location.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Trenton, Stratton and Max.

The heavy rain has ended. Flash Flooding is no longer expected to 
pose a threat.Some flooding has been reported in northwest Hitchcock 
county. Please continue to heed remaining road closures if any.

A Flood Watch remains in effect until 900 AM MDT Wednesday/1000 AM 
CDT Wednesday for portions of Kansas and southwest Nebraska.
