The National Weather Service in North Platte has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southern Custer County in central Nebraska...
  Eastern Lincoln County in southwestern Nebraska...

* Until 130 AM CDT.

* At 752 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain 
  has fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.5 to 1.5 inches in 1 
  hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are possible in 
  the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin 
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Ansley, Mason City, Oconto, Pressey State Wildlife Management 
  Area, Buckeye, Burr Oak, Cumro, Lodi, Intersection of Highway 183 
  and Cumro Road, Block Hill Basin, Gavin Siding and Etna.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

FOR SOUTHERN CUSTER AND EASTERN LINCOLN COUNTIES...

At 908 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy 
rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have 
fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.5 to 1.5 inches in 1 hour. 
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the 
warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
