The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northwestern Clark County in southern Nevada...

* Until 730 PM PDT.

* At 429 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain east of Indian Springs. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain 
  has fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Life-threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Life-threatening flash flooding of low-water
           crossings, creeks, normally dry washes and roads.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Las Vegas, Rainbow Canyon, Mt. Charleston, Spring Mountains, 
  Hilltop Campground, Mahogany Grove Campground, Kyle Canyon 
  Campground, Fletcher View Campground, Dolomite Campground and 
  Mcwilliams Campground.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

At 527 PM PDT, Rainfall totals of up to one inch were recorded near 
Grapevine Springs and near Corn Creek. Flash Flooding remains 
possible.

HAZARD...Life-threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.

NORTHWESTERN CLARK COUNTY...

Flood waters have receded. The heavy rain has ended. Flooding is no 
longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to heed remaining 
road closures.

A Flood Watch remains in effect until 500 AM PDT Wednesday for 
portions of northwest Arizona, southeast California, and southern 
Nevada.
