The National Weather Service in Topeka has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Central Coffey County in east central Kansas...

* Until 930 PM CDT.

* At 530 PM CDT, trained weather spotters reported thunderstorms 
  producing heavy rain in Rock Creek rising rapidly causing flooding 
  to several homes. Between 4 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. 
  Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the 
  warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Trained spotters reported.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Burlington.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING IS CANCELLED FOR CENTRAL COFFEY COUNTY...

The heavy rain has ended. The Flash Flood Warning for central Coffey 
County will be allowed to expire. However, a county-wide Flood 
Warning remains in effect until 2 AM. Please continue to heed 
remaining road closures.

A Flood Watch remains in effect until 700 AM CDT Wednesday for 
portions of east central and northeast Kansas.
