Western Escambia County in south central Alabama...
Northwestern Baldwin County in southwestern Alabama...
Central Mobile County in southwestern Alabama...
Northwestern Escambia County in northwestern Florida...
* Until 1045 PM CDT.
* At 750 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Downtown Mobile, Midtown Mobile, Prichard, Tillmans Corner,
Saraland, Bay Minette, Atmore, Chickasaw, Satsuma, Creola,
Chunchula, Stockton, Axis, Semmes, Tanner Williams, I65 And AL 225,
I65 And AL 158, I65 And I165, I10 And I65 and Mobile Regional
Airport.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

EVENING FOR WESTERN ESCAMBIA, NORTHWESTERN BALDWIN, CENTRAL MOBILE
AND NORTHWESTERN ESCAMBIA COUNTIES...
At 1007 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Between 7 and 9 inches of rain have
fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in
the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING WILL EXPIRE AT 1045 PM CDT THIS EVENING FOR
WESTERN ESCAMBIA, NORTHWESTERN BALDWIN, CENTRAL MOBILE AND
NORTHWESTERN ESCAMBIA COUNTIES...
The heavy rain has ended temporarily. Additional heavy rainfall will
be possible later tonight which could lead to renewed flash flooding.
Please continue to heed remaining road closures as there are many
roadways that are closed or flooded. Do not drive into areas where
water covers the roadway as it is impossible to determine the depth
of water or whether the roadway has been washed out at night.
A Flood Watch remains in effect until 600 PM CDT Friday for portions
of Alabama, northwest Florida, and southeast Mississippi.
