The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southwestern Columbia County in southwestern Arkansas...
  Lafayette County in southwestern Arkansas...
  Southern Miller County in southwestern Arkansas...
  Northern Bossier Parish in northwestern Louisiana...
  Northwestern Caddo Parish in northwestern Louisiana...
  Northwestern Webster Parish in northwestern Louisiana...
  Southeastern Cass County in northeastern Texas...
  Northeastern Marion County in northeastern Texas...

* Until 730 AM CDT.

* At 323 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between
  1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen so far early this morning.
  Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the
  warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
           drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Springhill, Vivian, Cullen, Plain Dealing, Cotton Valley, Sarepta,
  Fouke, Bradley, Taylor, Hosston, Rodessa, Belcher, Ida, Shongaloo,
  Gilliam, Canfield, Welcome, Bussey, Brightstar and Ravanna.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.

MORNING FOR SOUTHWESTERN COLUMBIA, LAFAYETTE, SOUTHERN MILLER,
SOUTHEASTERN CASS AND NORTHEASTERN MARION COUNTIES AND NORTHERN
BOSSIER, NORTHWESTERN CADDO AND NORTHWESTERN WEBSTER PARISHES...

At 636 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2
and 6 inches of rain have fallen this morning. Flooding impacts will
continue, with only light additional rainfall amounts expected
through 730 am. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.
