The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northern Mason County in west central Texas...

* Until 700 AM CDT.

* At 359 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 4 inches of rain have 
  fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in 
  the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin 
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Camp Air, Katemcy, Pontotoc and The Intersection Of Highway 29 And 
  Ranch Road 1222.

This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
Katemcy crossing, Spy Rock crossing, Oak Grove crossing, Old Union 
crossing San Fernando Creek, Old Katemcy Mason crossing Comanche 
Creek, Turkey SpringS crossing and Sandy crossing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become 
unstable and unsafe.
