* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Central Barbour County in northeastern West Virginia...

* Until 845 AM EDT.

* At 452 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 
  1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing 
  or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Philippi and Nestorville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Report flooding to the National Weather Service by calling toll

At 632 AM EDT, Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Flash 
flooding is ongoing. Flooding has occurred on Sand Run Road, Mount 
Liberty Road/Union Road, and low lying areas around Philippi.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  Central Barbour County in northeastern West Virginia...

* Until 1000 AM EDT.

* At 834 AM EDT, emergency management reported high water across 
  several roads in the warned area. Between 2 and 3.5 inches of rain 
  have fallen. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional 
  rainfall is expected. Flash flooding is already occurring.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by prior thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Emergency management reported.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Philippi and Nestorville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are 
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded 
roads. Find an alternate route.
