The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Carlisle County in western Kentucky...

* Until 845 AM CDT.

* At 450 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of 
  rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are 
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected 
  to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Bardwell and Arlington.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 845 AM CDT THIS 
MORNING FOR CARLISLE COUNTY...

At 738 AM CDT, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms 
producing heavy rain with water covering Kentucky Highway 307 north 
of Kentucky Highway 121. Between 2 and 3.5 inches of rain have 
fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in 
the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
