The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southwestern McClain County in central Oklahoma...
  Central Garvin County in southern Oklahoma...

* Until 545 PM CDT.

* At 243 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain 
  have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are 
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected 
  to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Pauls Valley, Purcell, Maysville, Elmore City, Wayne, Paoli, 
  Katie, Rosedale, Antioch, Whitebead and Payne.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 545 PM CDT THIS 
AFTERNOON FOR SOUTHWESTERN MCCLAIN AND CENTRAL GARVIN COUNTIES...

At 429 PM CDT, emergency management reported some roads under water 
in and around Pauls Valley. Thunderstorms producing heavy rain 
across are moving out of the warned area, but run off will continue 
to present a risk of flash flooding. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain 
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible 
in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin 
shortly.
