The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Central Torrance County in central New Mexico...

* Until 530 PM MDT.

* At 227 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of
  rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1
  hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible
  in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
           drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Willard.

This includes Highway 60 between Mile Markers 213 and 223.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

AFTERNOON FOR CENTRAL TORRANCE COUNTY...

At 326 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have
fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1 hour.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned
area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING WILL EXPIRE AT 530 PM MDT THIS AFTERNOON FOR
CENTRAL TORRANCE COUNTY...

Light rain will continue over the area and flows of water in arroyos
as well as ponding of water in low spots may persist. However, the
heavy rain has ended, and flash flooding is no longer expected to
pose a threat. Please continue to heed any remaining road closures.

A Flood Watch remains in effect until 600 AM MDT Thursday for
portions of central, east central, north central, northeast,
northwest, southeast, and west central New Mexico.
