Southeastern Greenup County in northeastern Kentucky...
Southwestern Gallia County in southeastern Ohio...
Lawrence County in southeastern Ohio...
Northern Cabell County in central West Virginia...
Northern Kanawha County in central West Virginia...
Southwestern Roane County in central West Virginia...
Jackson County in northwestern West Virginia...

* At 530 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 77 in West Virginia between mile markers 109 and 148.
Interstate 64 in West Virginia between mile markers 1 and 8...and
between mile markers 10 and 46. Interstate 79 between mile markers 11
and 30.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Report flooding to the National Weather Service by calling toll free,
800 401 9535, when you can do so safely.

MORNING FOR NORTHERN BOYD, SOUTHEASTERN GREENUP, SOUTHWESTERN GALLIA,
LAWRENCE, NORTHERN CABELL, NORTHERN KANAWHA, SOUTHWESTERN ROANE,
JACKSON, SOUTHERN MASON, PUTNAM AND NORTHERN WAYNE COUNTIES...
At 752 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between
1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts
of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

WAYNE COUNTIES HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH A FLOOD WARNING...
While the threat for heavy rainfall and flash flooding has ended,
areas of high water exists across portions of the warned area from
prior heavy rainfall this morning. Creeks and streams will continue
to rise due to the excess runoff of water, with flooding imminent or
occurring.
