* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Western Montezuma County in southwestern Colorado...
  Southeastern San Juan County in southeastern Utah...

* Until 1145 AM MDT.

* At 1109 AM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles southwest
  of Aneth, or 32 miles east of Mexican Hat, moving north at 35 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage 
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Aneth, Montezuma Creek, and Hovenweep National Monument.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to

FOR WESTERN MONTEZUMA AND SOUTHEASTERN SAN JUAN COUNTIES...

At 1128 AM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Montezuma
Creek, or 26 miles southeast of Blanding, moving north at 35 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

         roofs, siding, and trees.

...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR WESTERN MONTEZUMA AND
SOUTHEASTERN SAN JUAN COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 1145 AM MDT...

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire.  However, gusty
winds are still possible with this thunderstorm.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
Grand Junction.
