...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 500 PM EDT
FOR WEST CENTRAL SENECA AND NORTH CENTRAL YATES COUNTIES...
At 442 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Ferguson
Corners, or near Geneva, moving east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and ping pong ball size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include...
Benton, Kendaia, Ferguson Corners, Bellona Stn, and Seneca Lake State
Park.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
This storm is producing destructive winds and large damaging hail.
