North central Sierra County in south central New Mexico...
* Until 445 PM MDT.
* At 412 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 5 miles east of
Monticello, moving east at 10 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include...
Alamosa Canyon, Elephant Butte Lake, and South Monticello
Campground.
This includes Interstate 25 in New Mexico between mile markers 85 and
98.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to

At 428 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles east of
Monticello, moving east at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR NORTH CENTRAL SIERRA COUNTY
WILL EXPIRE AT 445 PM MDT...
The storm which prompted the warning has moved out of the area.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. However, small
hail and gusty winds are still possible with this thunderstorm.
Remember, a Severe Thunderstorm Warning still remains in effect for
northern Sierra County until 515 PM.
