* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northeastern Jefferson County in central Alabama...

* Until 145 PM CDT.

* At 100 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Ketona Lakes,
  or near Fultondale, moving southwest at 5 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage 
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Birmingham, Vestavia Hills, Homewood, Mountain Brook, Trussville,
  Gardendale, Irondale, Fairfield, Fultondale, Center Point, Pleasant
  Grove, Clay, Pinson, Tarrant, Adamsville, Mulga, Ketona Lakes,
  Birmingham Fairgounds, B.j.c.c., and Edgewater.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is
one of natures leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder,
you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
