The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Western Christian County in southwestern Missouri...
  Stone County in southwestern Missouri...
  Barry County in southwestern Missouri...
  Southern Lawrence County in southwestern Missouri...

* Until 830 AM CDT.

* At 741 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from near Pierce City to near Purdy to near Seligman,
  moving northeast at 40 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Nixa, Table Rock Lake, Roaring River State Park, Monett, Aurora,
  Mount Vernon, Cassville, Silver Dollar City, Kimberling City,
  Marionville, Clever, Crane, Shell Knob, Pierce City, Purdy,
  Billings, Reeds Spring, Seligman, Exeter, and Wheaton.

This includes Interstate 44 between mile markers 33 and 45.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

If on or near Table Rock Lake, get away from the water and move 
indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 
15 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you 
are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter 
now!  Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
