West Central Torrance County in central New Mexico...
* Until 445 PM MDT.
* At 355 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Abo, or 25
miles southwest of Estancia, moving northeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include...
Estancia, Mountainair, Willard and Abo.
This includes Highway 60 near Mile Marker 198...and between Mile
Markers 200 and 228.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large

At 417 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles northeast of
Mountainair, or 14 miles southwest of Estancia, moving northeast at
30 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
