The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Franklin County in northeastern Texas...
  Northwestern Morris County in northeastern Texas...
  Titus County in northeastern Texas...
  Northwestern Camp County in northeastern Texas...
  Southwestern Red River County in northeastern Texas...

* Until 1115 PM CDT.

* At 1013 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles northeast
  of Mount Vernon, or 8 miles southeast of Hagansport, moving
  southeast at 35 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage 
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Mount Pleasant, Pittsburg, Hagansport, Mount Vernon, Daingerfield,
  Bogata, Cason, Wilkerson, Cookville, Bagwell, Detroit, Deport,
  Winfield, Talco, Millers Cove, Rocky Mound, Hopewell, Harts Bluff,
  Monticello, and Cuthand.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds. People outside
should move immediately to shelter inside a strong building. Stay
away from windows.

Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is
one of natures leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder,
you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
