FOR SOUTHEASTERN ANDERSON AND NORTH CENTRAL ABBEVILLE COUNTIES...
At 950 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 13 miles southeast
of Anderson, or near Honea Path, moving south at 30 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.
Locations impacted include...
Homeland Park, Belton, Honea Path, Starr, Antreville, Broadway Lake,
Anderson, and Lake Secession.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
A few trees and power lines will be blown down in the warned area.
The storm will be accompanied by brief heavy rainfall, and little or
no lightning. Seek shelter inside an interior room.
Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of natures leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
