The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northwestern Elbert County in east central Colorado...
  East Central Douglas County in northeastern Colorado...

* Until 1030 PM MDT.

* At 952 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Ponderosa
  Park, or 29 miles southeast of Denver, moving east at 25 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

  SOURCE...Public reported half dollar size hail at 9:46 pm near
           Ponderosa Park.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
           roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Eastern Parker, Elizabeth, Kiowa, Ponderosa Park and The Pinery.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and has
produced large hail.

AND EAST CENTRAL DOUGLAS COUNTIES...

The Severe Thunderstorm Warning that was previously in effect has
been reissued for Elbert County and is in effect until 1045 PM MDT.
Please refer to that bulletin for the latest severe weather
information.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 300 AM MDT for
portions of east central and northeast Colorado.
