The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southeastern Elbert County in east central Colorado...
  Southern Lincoln County in east central Colorado...

* Until 115 AM MDT.

* At 1228 AM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 4 miles northwest
  of Punkin Center, or 27 miles south of Limon, moving southeast at
  25 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
           roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Punkin Center and Karval.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.

Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter
immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built
structure.

...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING IS CANCELLED FOR SOUTHEASTERN ELBERT
AND SOUTHERN LINCOLN COUNTIES...

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning has been cancelled. However, small hail and
gusty winds are still possible with this thunderstorm.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 300 AM MDT for a
portion of east central Colorado.
