The National Weather Service in Charleston West Virginia has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southwestern Randolph County in northeastern West Virginia...
  Central Pocahontas County in northeastern West Virginia...

* Until 630 PM EDT.

* At 606 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles northwest
  of Snowshoe, or 12 miles northwest of Cass Scenic Railroad, moving
  east at 15 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage 
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Snowshoe, Mingo, and Slaty Fork.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

building.

...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR SOUTHWESTERN RANDOLPH AND
CENTRAL POCAHONTAS COUNTIES HAS EXPIRED...

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning has been allowed to expire.  However, small
hail and gusty winds are still possible with this thunderstorm.
