The National Weather Service in Duluth MN has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  West central St. Louis County in northeastern Minnesota...

* Until 700 PM CDT.

* At 607 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing a tornado
  were located along a line extending from near Keewatin to near
  Hibbing to 10 miles northwest of Toivola, moving northeast at 25
  mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* These dangerous storms will be near...
  Hibbing around 615 PM CDT.
  Chisholm around 620 PM CDT.

Other locations in the path of these tornadic storms include Buhl,
Cherry and Mountain Iron.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.

This line of thunderstorms is capable of producing tornadoes and
widespread significant wind damage. Do not wait to see or hear the
tornado. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest
floor of a building.

CENTRAL ST. LOUIS COUNTY...

At 633 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing tornadoes 
were located along a line extending east of Hibbing to near Cherry, 
moving east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.

Locations impacted include...
  Buhl, Cherry and Mountain Iron.

...THE TORNADO WARNING FOR WEST CENTRAL ST. LOUIS COUNTY WILL EXPIRE
AT 700 PM CDT...

The storms which prompted the warning have weakened below severe
limits, and no longer appear capable of producing a tornado.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire.  However, gusty
winds are still possible with these thunderstorms.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for northeastern
Minnesota.
