* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Southeastern Rutherford County in western North Carolina...
* WHEN...Until 1130 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 835 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain
have fallen so far for locations near Cliffside, Ellenboro,
Caroleen and Henrietta. Rainfall rates of up to 2.5 inches per
hour have been noted at times. Heavy rainfall is tracking
westward towards Alexander Mills, Harris, and Forest City.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Forest City, Spindale, Alexander Mills, Henrietta, Harris,
Caroleen and Cliffside.
- Locations along Beason Road, Franklin Road, High Shoals Church
Road, Dobbins Road, and Old Mooresboro Road in far southeastern
Rutherford County could see nuisance to minor flooding develop.
