* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...North Central Caldwell County in western North Carolina...
* WHEN...Until 1245 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 948 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Blowing Rock In Caldwell County and Patterson.
- Some locations in northern Caldwell County that could see
nuisance to minor flooding develop are along Richland Road,
Lowder Mill Road, Old Field Creek Lane, Hines Branch Road, and
Pounding Mill Trail Road.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
