...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM EDT EARLY THIS MORNING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...West Central Cleveland County in the piedmont of North
Carolina...
Eastern Rutherford County in western North Carolina...
* WHEN...Until 400 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At midnight EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Shelby, Polkville, Ellenboro, Lattimore, Mooresboro and
Kingstown.
- Locations along Johnnie Bridges Road, Hugh Harrell Road,
Lattimore Road, West Zion Church Road, and Washburn Road could
see nuisance to minor flooding develop.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
