* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Cook County in northeastern Illinois...
DuPage County in northeastern Illinois...
Southern Kane County in northeastern Illinois...
Kendall County in northeastern Illinois...
Northern Will County in northeastern Illinois...
* WHEN...Until 800 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding
may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 347 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Chicago, Aurora, Joliet, Naperville, Cicero, Bolingbrook, Orland
Park, Tinley Park, Oak Lawn, Berwyn, Wheaton, Oak Park, Downers
Grove, Elmhurst, Lombard, Bartlett, Ohare Airport, Carol Stream
and Romeoville.

A Flood Advisory means minor flooding along waterways and other poor
drainage areas is imminent or may already be occurring. Persons in
the advisory area should use caution and avoid flood waters.
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

flooding is ongoing in the advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain
have fallen.

rise and will remain elevated this morning.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
South Side of Chicago, Aurora, Naperville, Cicero, Bolingbrook,
Oak Lawn, Berwyn, Wheaton, Downers Grove, Lombard, Woodridge,
Oswego, Midway Airport, South Lawndale, Chicago Lawn, Englewood,

The Flood Advisory will expire at 10 AM CDT this morning for a
portion of northeast Illinois, including the following areas, Cook,
DuPage, Kane, Kendall and Will.
The heavy rain has ended. Flood waters have receded. Flooding is no
longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to heed remaining
road closures.
A Flood Watch remains in effect until 100 PM CDT for portions of
Illinois and northwest Indiana...
