...REPLACES FLASH FLOOD WARNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Southern De Kalb County in north central Illinois...
  Lee County in north central Illinois...

* WHEN...Until 1130 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. High
  water may recede slowly from flooded areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 730 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
    heavy rain due to thunderstorms early this morning. Minor
    flooding continues in the advisory area. Between 2 and 5 inches
    of rain have fallen.
  - Though heavy rain is not expected through much of the morning,
    standing water and elevated creeks and streams will persist this
    morning.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Sandwich, Amboy, Shabbona, Hinckley, Somonauk, Waterman, Paw Paw,
    Sublette, Woodhaven Lakes, Lee, Compton, Nelson, West Brooklyn,
    Harmon, Lee Center and Eldena.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Advisory means minor flooding along waterways and other poor
drainage areas is imminent or may already be occurring. Persons in
the advisory area should use caution and avoid flood waters.

...FLOOD ADVISORY WILL EXPIRE AT 130 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...

The Flood Advisory will expire at 130 PM CDT this afternoon for a
portion of north central Illinois, including the following areas, De
Kalb and Lee. A new Flood Advisory has been issued for the Green
River basin in Lee County through 730 PM CDT.
