...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 515 AM EDT EARLY THIS MORNING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Southeastern Jefferson County in east Tennessee...
Central Sevier County in east Tennessee...
* WHEN...Until 515 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 313 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Up to 0.5 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Sevierville, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Harrisburg, Fairgarden and
Bird Crossing.

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

The Flood Advisory will expire at 515 AM EDT early this morning for a
portion of east Tennessee, including the following areas, Jefferson
and Sevier.
The heavy rain has ended. Flooding is no longer expected to pose a
threat. Please continue to heed remaining road closures.
